New Year’s Stay

What a perfect setting to welcome in 2025! The cottage was clean and well-stocked with everything we would need for our stay including a Christmas tree and holiday lights on the bannister. The fireplace was cozy while we played the many games provided by the host. A soak in the hot tub eased our muscles from sledding and hiking on nearby trails. Thank you to the hosts for making us feel so welcome.

We loved Sandhill House! A wonderful gathering place for my family vacation in an amazing well appointed house. The location was great -we did the dunes, Glen Arbor, Empire Bluffs hike and beach, Beulah/Frankfort bike trail not to mention lots of time kayaking and fishing on Long Lake. We really appreciated the bonfire area and Adirondack chairs for our evening gatherings too and early morning time. We cooked our own meals most nights. The kitchen was so well equipped, beginning with the coffee bar to dishes, pots and pans and outdoor grill area. Perfect and easy all around. Definitely a big, big plus! We can’t sign off without complimenting the owners or decorator on the art work, bed linens, pillows etc. throughout the house. It was all tastefully and beautifully done. Thank you!

We had an incredible stay at Lorlee, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a special place designed for making memories. Kristin, the property manager, was outstanding. She was always available, responded immediately, and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, including coordinating our pontoon boat rental and docking on Dewey Lake. That level of attentiveness made the entire experience stress-free. The home itself is stunning. The kitchen is enormous and incredibly well stocked, allowing us to cook an elegant meal for our entire group. The layout made it easy for everyone to gather, relax, and still have space. We loved spending our evenings around the firepit, and the disc golf course set up around the property kept us all entertained day and night. It was such a fun, unique touch that everyone enjoyed. The lake access, dock, and private beach area made days on the water effortless. On top of all that, the locals in town were so friendly and welcoming. It really added to the charm of the whole trip. This place is perfect for large groups, families, or anyone looking for a luxurious, fun, and relaxing lakefront getaway. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

Very quiet, cabin was spotlessly clean, and the other campers were also respectful & quiet. Good mattresses & HVAC. My wife had a little trouble with the 85-yard gravel path; we’ll bring a collapsible wagon for the luggage next time. Also a sturdy clothing rod for hanging clothes & jackets would be a nice addition. Definitely recommend this place as a nice base for your Ozark explorations.

Your home had nice accommodations, comfortable beds, and a very quiet/peaceful stay. The CO2 sensor went bad during the stay and had to have the batteries removed (replacement batteries did not work as the device was at end of life). The main floor toilet had an internal seal that was in need of replacement and had to be manually reset on occasion as it would not stop running. This really should be repaired prior to the next rental. Other than these two issues, it was a very nice home with sufficient support material to it quite enjoyable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Green Lake Getaway and it was a fantastic experience. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and responsive, making sure that everything was perfect during my stay. Overall, I highly recommend The Green Lake Getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with great lake access. I can’t wait to return!
